Lily Jade Diaper Bag Review
I have had my eye on this Lily Jade diaper bag since Cyn introduced me to the brand. One night, over wine of course, we were discussing all of the things that a diaper bag should have and the things that our current bags did not have. Cyn told me that she had found the holy grail of diaper bags, so of course I was hooked. After looking at all of the bags, I knew that the Rosie in camel was my true love… but the bag wasn’t cheap, so I decided to do my research and find some comparable bags. I debated buying a leather bag and making my own insert, purchasing a backpack style diaper bag, or making my original diaper bag work. In the end, Lily Jade had a Mother’s Day sale (thank my lucky stars) so I ordered my bag.
What I love about this bag
1. It doesn’t look like your traditional diaper bag. It is stylish, made from quality leather, has amazing craftsmanship and is incredibly versatile. There is a removable interior bag (in a beautiful jade colour) that organizes all of your baby essentials. This bag is genius! I no longer lose things in the bottom of my bag because every item has a home in the 12 pocket organizer. You can also wash this interior bag… need I say more?
2. There are three options for carrying this bag. With only one child, I never saw the need to carry my diaper bag any other way except over my shoulder. Once I opened my Dayhome, I quickly realized how flawed that was. My bag was constantly taking out the toddler on that side of my hip. Items would fall out and I couldn’t carry everything I needed. This bag allows you to carry it over your shoulder, messenger style, and as a backpack. When I am baby free, I use it over my shoulder. When I am busy with my toddler, I switch it to the backpack style.
3. You can remove the interior bag when you drop your child off at childcare and still keep your purse with you. This saves the hassle of having to bring two purses everywhere you go. I keep all of my essentials in the exterior and interior pockets so that I can easily remove the interior bag when I am on the go without my son.
4. This bag will last! The quality of this bag is definitely superior, hence the price tag. However, if you are planning on using this bag after you are past the diaper bag stage, it is a great investment.
What’s in my diaper bag
I still have a lot of unused pockets, but I know these will fill up when I have my infant. This is currently how much I carry when I am out with two toddlers. Snacks are clearly an essential item for me…
I hope you enjoyed my diaper bag review. I would love to know what your holy grail bag is, or if you are still looking!
